About AMZScout
“What is AMZ Scout?”
To answer in a few words, it’s a software that helps you make more sales with your Amazon business. Sell the right products, discover trends, make sales estimates and much more. It’s a complete suite, a direct competitor to Jungle Scout if you know it.
Conceived in 2017 in Pennsylvania (close to New York City), this company is growing rapidly, along with the increasing interest in online business and sales. The goal is clear: to make money – the price tag is pretty steep – and help you make money.
AMZScout also has an educational side with many courses. Different levels from beginner to advanced. A whole section dedicated to learning.
I was able to get the “AMZScout Full: Product Database & Keywords Monthly” license – this is with this one that I’m going to present you this remarkable tool.
AMZScout : The features
When you access the dashboard, the left menu gives you a quick access to all the features, including the many built-in tools. But before that, you can set up your Amazon Marketplace in the top right corner of the screen:

So access to the different pages is via the side menu. Let’s take a look at each of the tools at your disposal.
Product Database
A search engine that allows you to find trendy products in a few clicks. Search using filters to find the perfect product.
The “Trending Products” option displays products whose sales have increased by 20% or more in the last 3 months. Here’s what it looks like with the search “speaker” on Amazon France and this option activated:

Product Database returns the number of sales, estimated revenue, associated costs, net profits, RPR, reviews… In short, everything that is useful to analyze a product. It’s a real niche job. If you find potentially good products, you can either :
- Add them to the Product Tracker
- Search for suppliers on Alibaba
Product Tracker
This tool allows you to follow the different data related to a product you are interested in on a daily basis. So when you choose to follow a product, you will find a daily update of the data: price, stock, customer rating, daily sales…
It is possible to track up to 150 products, to be added via the Product Database, or by the URL or ASIN code of the Amazon product.
Reverse ASIN Product
From the ASIN code that you can find on the Amazon product page in the “Additional Information” section:

Reverse ASIN Product returns the keywords related to that product. You enter the ASIN code in the tool and then you see the Amazon keywords for which the product ranks:

This feature is used to get an estimate of the monthly searches on Amazon, the position of the product, a score that indicates the relevance of the keyword for that product.
The Keyword Search is a similar feature, it is used to do Amazon referencing. How do you do it? By helping you choose the right keywords in your Amazon product listings. Just enter a term for example “led” and KS returns the associated keywords with the estimated number of visitors…

With an option to export to Excel or Google Sheets.
The Chrome extension
The extension that syncs with your AMZScout account allows you to extend the basic functionality by unlocking the Keyword Tracker.
What is this Keyword Tracker?
It allows you to follow day after day or hour after hour, the evolution of the positions of a product in the Amazon search results. To add a product to track you need :
- The ASIN code (the same one used above)
- The marketplace (amazon.co.uk, amazon.com…)
- The type of monitoring (from once a day to every hour)
For example with this very popular headset:

Then you have to choose the keywords for which to track the product position. Either directly from the ASIN Lookup of AMZScout, or from a custom list:

Once this step is complete, you will get feedback on the indexing status of your product for the selected keywords:

The interest of this tool is to follow your products and those of your competitors. Compare, analyze and adapt your product sheet so that it appears in the best positions.
Note however that there are two other Chrome extensions AMZScout: Stock Stats (analyze the stock of a product) and Quick View (know the margins, FBA number, and a whole lot of other data directly by browsing on Amazon).
For the Quick View extension, I can’t get it to work on Amazon France.
How much does AMZScout cost?
AMZScout offers several types of “Pro Extension” plans: monthly, yearly and lifetime.
- Monthly plan: $45.99 per month
- Annual plan: $197.99 per year
- Lifetime plan: $499 at once

The “Pro Extension” plan integrates the functions to find profitable products and know their trend. It is far from being the most interesting option, because to be honest it is very limited. On the other hand, it gives access to the training modules, which are very well done (English speaking).

Conclusion
If you are interested in AMZScout, I strongly advise you to take advantage of the free trial period before choosing a package. The price being quite high, this tool is an investment. An investment that will help you if you sell on Amazon FBA.
