Affiliate on digital products is great. But offering promotional coupons with Affiliate Coupons is even better! Here’s why.
Among the many ways to convert visitors into repeat buyers is first and foremost to write personalized and useful content. That’s one thing. On top of that, links, buttons or popups are all elements to consider.
Some tips convert better than others. Promotional coupons or limited time offers are among the most effective conversion marketing methods.
That’s why I’m going to introduce you the Affiliate Coupons plugin!
A great discovery I made several months ago. This extension runs on this blog every day, it’s a real source of income. In this article, we will see how you too can use it to allow your readers to take advantage of limited offers.
Presentation of Affiliate Coupons plugin
WordPress has a wide range of extensions and themes, as every editor knows. All solutions that stand out because of their usefulness are coveted. I see Affiliate Coupons as one of those must-haves.
Here are major features of Affiliate Coupons :
- Create vendors
- Create promotions or offers related to these vendors
- Display of coupons in articles, pages and sidebars
- Customization of the display
- Template customization
And that’s for the free version, the one I’m going to talk about throughout the following lines. This is the one I use every day!
Sellers and promotions on Affiliate Coupons
The first time I launched Affiliate Coupons, I didn’t understand what “sellers” were for. Now I understand and I have to say it’s pretty clever. For example, if a product has multiple promotions, you can link them to the same seller and later display all the promotions of that seller.
So far I have been able to create offers for 19 sellers:
To add a seller it’s very simple, you need :
- An image of the company (a logo for example)
- The default promo link
- The description of the default promo
In fact, the real interest of a plugin like Affiliate Coupons is to create tailor-made promotions. This is exactly what we are going to do. For the holiday season, I had created a 30% off promotion on my solutions.
Here is what the configuration looked like :
As well as the rendering on the site :
This is not the default design, it’s a version I modified to fit my website design. Logo + description + promo code… It’s perfect. You should also know that the coupon is not mandatory, it is quite possible to create offers without a code with Affiliate Coupons 🙂
What settings are available?
Before going any further, I would like to take a look at the parameter page, especially the first section. It contains all the shortcodes to insert in the WordPress blog. A few examples that I’m used to using…
[[affcoups]] is a code that displays all the promotions, it is particularly useful to create a page that lists them.
[[affcoups id="1234"]] displays them individually, for example within an article.
Pretty cool, right?
There is also this short code
[[affcoups vendor="1234"]] which filters the promotions of a single vendor. These are the only ones I’m using at the moment, but there are many others actually, all of them are indicated in the settings.
Where to find affiliate promotions?
This is the big question…
If you already have an established network, I’m not going to teach you anything. But if you have a new site, it is very useful to find partners to work with. And to optimize the use of Affiliate Coupons, if possible these partners should offer marketing offers during the year.
There are a lot of good deals in dozens of :
- Web hosting
- CDN Service
- E-commerce platform
- Automation platform
- Emailing solution
- Trading site
Just search on Google for “web hosting + affiliate” to find a multitude of programs. Now, not all of them have promotional offers.
If your site is positioned in a profitable niche, it has hundreds, maybe even thousands of opportunities to seize! It’s up to you to find them 😉
Affiliate Coupons prices
Being a freemium plugin, there is a free version and a premium version declined under 3 rates charged for a whole year :

The trick is to make the right choice before you go on a paid version. In any case, each of its plans gives access to the following additional features:
- Click to reveal” coupon system
- Click tracking + Google & Matomo tracking
- Detailed pages for coupons
- More templates

Whether you want to go with the free version or choose a premium plan, you can already take a free tour of the WordPress plugin.
On my side, I’m now used to use this plugin when I want to display promo codes on my website. It’s part of my WordPress configuration, I can’t do without it anymore.
It must also be said that I am not even looking for another alternative!
In short, to convert readers, using extensions like Affiliate Coupons is still essential. It’s like AAWP for Amazon affiliate, the conversion gain is so nice that it’s hard to go back once you’ve adopted the plugin 😁
